After creating chart of depreciation, it needs to be assigned to company code. The link between the chart of depreciation and Company code is established through Assignment.

The chart of depreciation is taken from the company code when company code assigned to chart of depreciation. Either one or more company codes can be assigned to chart of depreciation.

Assign Chart of Depreciation to company code: -

Below process is to assign chart of depreciation (TCOA) to company code (TC01).

Step-1: Enter the transaction code OAOB in the SAP command field and click Enter to continue.

Enter the transaction code SPRO in the SAP command field and click Enter to continue.

Click on SAP Reference IMG.

Expand SAP Customizing Implementation Guide → Financial Accounting (New) → Asset Accounting → Organizational Structures → Assign Chart of Depreciation to Company Code. Click on Execute.

Step-2: In the next screen, navigate to the target company code and enter chart of depreciation corresponding to the company code entry.

Step-3: Once assigned, click on Save button to complete the process.

Step-4: It prompt for the Change Request. Create/Select the change request and Click on right mark to proceed.

Step-5: Status bar displays the below message once the chart of depreciation assigned to Company Code successfully.
